Anthology Film Archives

Please explore the images by using the links above to browse by filmmaker or title, or search by keyword, film title or filmmaker name.

In addition to its moving image collection, Anthology Film Archives maintains a collection of over 4000 film stills and other photographs, slides and negatives relating to the films in its collection, and to film in general. The images on these pages are either from Anthology’s photo collection or were generated directly from films in the moving image collection.

Funding for this digitization and access project was provided by the New York State Council on the Arts and the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.

This project is an early phase of a much larger digitization project that is currently underway to scan and make available a wide array of materials from Anthology’s collections, including more film stills, film clips, audio files and print materials—including articles, books and unique paper materials from our files.
