MAGNUM PHOTOS – 70TH ANNIVERSARY

July 20 – July 27

Continuing our ongoing collaboration with the International Center of Photography, and presented in conjunction with the ICP’s current exhibition, “Magnum Manifesto,” this film series celebrates the 70th anniversary of the renowned photo agency Magnum Photos, which was created by Robert Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson, George Rodger, and Chim (David Seymour) in 1947. The series showcases films about, or in many cases directed by, Magnum photographers and associates including Eve Arnold, Jean Gaumy, Harry Gruyaert, Erich Lessing, Danny Lyon, and Alec Soth.

The ICP exhibition, “Magnum Manifesto,” curated by Clément Chéroux, will be on view until September 3, 2017. For more info, visit: www.icp.org/exhibitions/magnum-manifesto, or www.icp.org.

Additional film series devoted to Magnum Photos will be taking place at the Metrograph (June 15-24) and the Museum of Modern Art (June 24-July 1).
