Anthology Film Archives

September 13 – September 16

Last year, the La Di Da Film Festival launched in lower Manhattan, and was self-described as the DIY punk-rock house party of film festivals. This year, the festival is ecstatic to bring the party home to Anthology, the hub of the NY independent spirit that is the inspiration for the festival and its filmmakers. Described as “the Cannes of downtown”, the festival’s innovative programming last year included the North American premiere of KUICHISAN, and this year continues to showcase the best of low-budget international cinema: highlights will include Michal Marczak’s FUCK FOR FOREST and Josephine Decker’s BUTTER ON THE LATCH. This year the program expands to include classic films, including those chosen by French director Serge Bozon, the 2013 Guest Programmer, who will be presenting movies related to his latest work.
