NEWFILMMAKERS NY SERIES
The NewFilmmakers series, which selects films and videos often overlooked by traditional film festivals, began in 1998 and over the past twelve years has screened over 600 features and 2,000 short films. In 2000 we brought the Havana Film Festival to New York, and in 2002 we started NewFilmmakers Los Angeles. Many well-known films have had their initial screenings at NewFilmmakers.
NewFilmmakers LA now screens monthly at the Sunset Gower Studio in Hollywood. Last year we began NewFilmmakers Online, which gives filmmakers the opportunity to exhibit and distribute their films directly to the public. NewFilmmakers also programs the Soho House Screening Series in NY & LA.
