Specifications for Digital Cinema Packages (DCP)

IMPORTANT: DCPs and KDMs must be received a minimum of two weeks in advance of screening date

1. Technical Specifications:
Resolution:              
2K Flat (pixel dimensions 1998 x 1080)
2K Scope (pixel dimensions 2048 x 858)
2K full container (pixel dimensions 2048 x 1080)

Screen aspect ratios range from 1.33 to 2.39:1, using side and top masking systems

Frame Rates Supported:
24, 25, 30, and 48 fps

Color Space:
3 (DCI)

Audio:
MONO or STEREO (mixed) tracks
Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound

Hard Drive:
Linux EXT2 or EXT3 formatting (preferred), or NTFS

2. File Naming Conventions/Labeling
Digital Cinema Packages should adhere to Digital Cinema Naming Convention specifications available online: http://isdcf.com/dcnc/

For testing purposes, KDMs must unlock the corresponding DCP a minimum of one week prior to the first screening.

DCPs must include a Blu-ray (or other format) backup. If using a video file as a backup, please refer to our Specifications for Video File Exhibition page.
