SWISS INSTITUTE PRESENTS: OBJECTS IN MIRROR MIGHT BE CLOSER THAN THEY APPEAR

February 15 – March 22

This February and March, Anthology hosts Swiss Institute for a series – taking its title from a work by artists Julius von Bismarck and Julian Charrière – that will explore how changes to our ecology and landscape appear from the perspective of non-human vision. This series features screenings of new works, accompanying source materials and performances, along with in-person appearances by Andrew Norman Wilson, Fabrizio Terranova, Ursula Biemann, and Julius von Bismarck and Julian Charrière (as well as a virtual appearance from Donna Haraway).

Swiss Institute is an independent nonprofit contemporary art institution in New York dedicated to promoting forward-thinking and experimental art making through innovative exhibitions and programs. During the reconstruction and refurbishment of Swiss Institute’s new building at 38 St. Marks Pl. in the East Village, the institution is programming offsite with projects and exhibitions beyond its traditional gallery space.
